Terms of Service

By using mdformatter (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What the Service is

mdformatter lets you convert Markdown text into DOCX, HTML, and PDF documents. It's provided free of charge, without any account or sign-up, and is supported by display advertising.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Process or generate content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or that violates someone else's rights;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• Scrape, automate, or bulk-submit requests in a way that degrades the Service for other users.

We reserve the right to rate-limit, block, or refuse service to any request or source we believe violates these terms.

Your content

You retain all rights to the Markdown you submit and the documents generated from it. You're solely responsible for having the necessary rights to any text or externally-linked images your Markdown includes. See the Privacy Policy for how long that content is retained on our servers (generally, up to 24 hours before automatic deletion).

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that converted documents will be free of formatting issues. Always review generated documents before relying on them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including loss of data, since files are automatically deleted after a short retention period.

Advertising & third parties

The Service displays ads served by Google AdSense and may link to third-party sites. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party content, ads, or sites you may reach through them.

Changes

We may update the Service or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
